I was slow with blogs this week, since I was nursing the family back to health. Sloan's teeth are fine, Brayden's finger is still in his cast and my bruises have all healed! The week was rather tame after Monday. Sloan had baby gym on Tuesday, where as always she shows off her talent for rolling and her amazing abs! She is still stuck on "jump, jump and twrill". And she has found "honking noses" is the funniest thing. She loves to welcome everyone into the gym with a big huge. She randomly sits in other moms laps and just hugs them. I can't decide if she feels like their kids are ignoring their moms or she just hugs people she likes! New words of the week include "button" for belly button and boob. Go figure!
Brayden had a few choice moments this week as well. He has decided singing and dancing with your mother in the car is not cool. And I quote "I am not signing a girl song" what do you do. While practicing our 3rd grade spelling list he had not looked at yet, he got all correct , I asked him to spell perplexed and ambiguous (don't worry I used spell check to spell them myself) but he got the right. Why can my 3rd grader spell better than me? He also realized a hurt right finger means he can take his computer to school, not write anything, tire a shoe, carry his bag or basically anything involving him moving. Such a typical male milk it til its dry. And yes im catering to my baby boy! He decided to sit out in football today, which I was sad but I would rather not have a broken finger and more whining. He was the team water boy, thanks to his dad. He sat on the sidelines in his Jersey and cheered.
Sloan was her normal boy crazyed and spunky self. She ran along the side lines, on the field and off the field. She checked out the players on the side lines and I think she tried to take water to the players on the field. She went from adult to adult making her presence know, social little thing! She cheered with her pom pom and cow bell and ate fruit loops, which at one point made her look a little drunk. She was walking sideways and falling over her own feet....SUGAR high! She was a very proud daughter standing at the coaches feet while he praised the winning team!
Brent was a great coach today, leading the D# Cowboys, or baby boys as I call them, to another victory! He is very good with those boys!
