Saturday was not a day of rest in the Gris-Willson household. I took Sloan to baby class. She ran non stop from 8:30 until 10:30. Dad was to pick her up afterwards, but showed half way through. Brayden's team won their game. It was great to see them play. Brayden was on the injured list, due to the injuries finger and blue cast. His dad insisted he would be the water boy. At half time Brayden really wished he brought his pads. He said running water to the field was a lot of work, especially when you have to pour it into the players mouth. His finger is now HEALED!
I spent the remaining part of the day picking up toys, clothes and shoes. I don't understand why Brayden pulls every shirt off the hanger and then leaves it on the floor. How am i suppose to know clean from dirty and why the long process of getting dressed. Then Brent wears every pair of flops, leaving each set in a random location, then asks me where i put his shoes. OK Sloan gets the benefit she is still a bit to young to put every thing back in its location. I have decide for every piece of clothing, shoes, bags, books, or whatever I find of theirs that is not in its home. I am going to pack it up in a trash bag and hide it. I want to see how long it takes before they notice they have no shoes or shirts.
After a super packed Saturday of work, football and family, we decided to hit the sights of Dallas. The Dallas zoo seemed like the place to be. Traffic was horrible, the weather was great and we got a good parking spot! The first sight to see was the penguins. This guy swam right up to the window.
Daddy and Sloan took in the elephants! The new enclosure was amazing. The zoo did a great job giving the elephants a new home with space to roam, well spent money on the membership. I'm pretty sure my donation bought the rock to the right of the elephants, not the really big one but the medium rock.
I can't decide if she was looking at the elephants or just starring into the wide open space day dreaming of running free. She smiled and giggled none the less.
Yep, it was the dream of running FREE! Sloan took off toward the entrance and we just got there. She ran and laughed and walked up to every child she could find.
We stopped to feed the giraffes. "That was the most expensive salad I ever bought" according to Brent Cool how they will just come right up and eat out of our hands, but really is that much lettus good for anyone. According to my vet lettus is what killed Rosco pico, my lizard. Their tongues are so long.
Just in case no one thought I went to the zoo, here i am!
And Sloan showed off her pearls
Following the zoo we headed for home. It was a quick 45 minute drive. Sloan slept from the parking lot to the bed. After realizing she was done with the nap we head to the Plano nature reserve. We loaded dogs and all in the car. I love the trials, but for the life of me can not understand why people let their dogs poop on the sidewalk and leave it. OK grass, no bag, no baggy thing in site, i get it, it is a fertilizer. Concert does not need poop. The dogs love to run 10 feet in front of us, sniffing and peeing.
Sloan and Daddy hand n hand.
Sloan loved the park. She went up and down the slide, feet first, head first, walked up and down. She also rocked the Mohawk. She greeted every child entering the play ground with a bit of jabber and a big hug.
